On February 25, 2025, the inauguration of Dr. Liz Villasenor’s exhibition X Est Totum took place at the FGS Mabuhay Temple. The event was graced by distinguished Philippine officials and VIPs, including AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner, MMDA Special Operations Group Strike Force Chief Gabriel Go, Vice President of the Foreign National Keepers Network & MPD Advisory Council Dr. Imad Ammar, IBC TV 13 Chairman Atty. Noel Malaya, and others.
Several esteemed guests, including IBC TV 13 Cairman Atty. Noel Malaya, NPD Advisory Council Vice President Dr. Imad Ammar, and MMDA Strike Force Chief Gabriel Go, were warmly welcomed to the Mabuhay Temple Art Gallery to explore the exhibition of Chinese Furniture.
During the tour, the atmosphere of the gallery, filled with Chinese furniture, transported the visitors to Chinatown, as though they were visiting Chinese friends. This exhibition highlights the long history of Chinese immigration to the Philippines, which began during the Spanish colonization in the 16th to 19th centuries.
Today, Filipino-Chinese communities, known as Tsinoys or Chinoys, continue to thrive throughout the Philippines, contributing greatly to the country’s culture and economy.
The exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the shared history and cultural exchange between nations. We look forward to welcoming more visitors and celebrating the rich heritage that unites us all.
