Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple Cebu
On December 14, 2025, Fo Guang Shan Chu Un Temple Cebu, together with the International Buddha’s Light Association Cebu Chapter and the Cebu English Chapter, organized a Lantern Painting Activity that attracted young participants from the community.
After the creative session, participants joined an English Blessing Service led by Venerable Zhi Rong, providing an opportunity to calm the mind, make prayers, and connect with new friends in a welcoming temple environment.
An English study group followed, focusing on the Three Refuges and Five Precepts. Venerable Zhi Rong shared the core spirit of Humanistic Buddhism as taught by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, emphasizing that the Five Precepts, like the “Three Acts of Goodness,” help cultivate moral awareness, offer the “Four Givings,” and promote harmony in daily life.
Through art, prayer, and discussion, the event encouraged youth to experience Buddhism as practical, relevant, and compassionate.
