On November 14, the inauguration ceremony of Guang Ming Chan Monastery and Guang Ming University Affiliated Basic Education was held in Cavite, Philippines. Most Venerable Hsin Bau, the Head Abbot of Fo Guang Shan, personally presided over the ceremony. Over 400 attendees gathered in a joyous and auspicious atmosphere. Distinguished guests included Venerable Yung Guang, Head Reverend of the Fo Guang Shan Philippines; Venerable Miao Jing, Abbot of Mabuhay Temple; donors Tsai Hui-Huang, Shih Chen-Chen, Li Yi-Chiang, Tsai Chia-Ying, among many Fo Guang Shan and BLIA representatives.
During the ceremony, honored guests jointly unveiled the plaques. Most Venerable Hsin Bau offered auspicious verses for both the monastery and the affiliated school, symbolizing a new milestone in Humanistic Buddhism and education in the Philippines. This was followed by a prayer service at the Grand Buddha Hall, led by Most Venerable Hsin Bau.
In his Dharma talk, Most Venerable Hsin Bau emphasized that the establishment of the monastery and affiliated school marks a significant advancement for Humanistic Buddhism in the Philippines. He expressed gratitude to all supporters whose generosity made the pure land possible.
